The story of VGROW
VGROW was founded by Mr. K. Venkattesh, born from his own personal experience with hair loss — and a research-first approach to solving it properly.
Rapid hair loss
While working as a finance professional in Australia, Mr. Venkattesh experienced rapid hair loss — losing around 90% of his hair within a year and a half. He tried several well-known hair oils, both Australian and Indian, Ayurvedic and Allopathic, over six months, and decided none of them met the standard he was looking for.
A dedicated research phase
He turned to his family's knowledge of Ayurvedic herbs and committed two full years to research — testing formulations and proportions, and sending every prepared recipe for laboratory analysis to rigorously validate the outcomes before considering anything final. This research discipline has stayed at the core of VGROW ever since.
First regrowth, first validation
Using his own formulation, he saw new hair growth — 2–3mm, black, with no grey. A close friend with similar hair loss tried a sample and saw comparable results within 88 days, giving the formulation its first independent validation.
Building the business, deliberately
He returned to India during COVID-19 and began sharing the formulation with friends and family, who reported strong results. Determined to make it available more widely, he secured funding, built a mini manufacturing unit, and set a no-harmful-chemicals policy from day one — a standard the company has never compromised on.
Growth, and a deeper focus on R&D
The manufacturing facility expanded in 2025 to meet rising demand, and VGROW now offers more than six chemical-free products across hair, wellness, and grooming. Mr. Venkattesh has handed day-to-day operations to a trusted team so he can dedicate himself fully to what matters most: ongoing Research & Development. His time now goes into refining formulations, testing new botanical combinations, and strengthening quality control across every batch — under Garudhmans Manufacturing Private Limited, Chennai.
